Recently, the Czech Business Council for Sustainable Development (CBCSD) teamed up with our very own Sustainability Hub Prague to host an energizing annual meeting, under the inspiring theme, “ESG is not an obstacle, but an opportunity”.
This gathering aimed to foster dialogue and collaboration among influential representatives from Czech businesses, as well as in the public sphere, to pave the way towards a sustainable future. The gathering was a who’s who of the industry, featuring luminaries from giants like PwC, ESSOX, ČEZ ESCO, alongside key figures from the Czech Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Together, we dove deep into how sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices aren’t just good for the planet, but can be powerhouse drivers for businesses and society.

One of the esteemed guests, Kamil Čermák, CEO of ČEZ ESCO, highlighted the growing trend towards sustainability in Czech companies, stressing the need for both competitive and sustainable energy solutions, including a mix of nuclear and renewable sources, to meet the comprehensive decarbonization goals of businesses in a cost-effective manner. The event took place within the framework of the Sustainability Hub, a dynamic platform founded by Soulmates Ventures. We are happy to see the Sustainability Hub fulfilling its purpose, bringing together key players in the Czech Republic’s sustainability landscape and catalyzing discussions that shape a brighter future.
