Soulmates Ventures was thrilled to collaborate with GreenHack 2023, an esteemed international sustainability hackathon, now celebrating its third anniversary. This pivotal event addressed key environmental issues, including climate change, overconsumption, and inefficient resource management.
More than 100 innovators from countries like the Czech Republic, USA, Pakistan, and India convened in Prague’s Holešovice district. The 24-hour innovation sprint was hosted at VNITROBLOCK, a venue championing sustainability and igniting creative solutions.
Teams tackled seven diverse challenges, focusing on sustainable technologies and development, including a significant challenge on improving server sustainability for AI technologies, pertinent to models like ChatGPT. The event, spearheaded by Tomas Studenik, a visionary in startup community events, granted five major awards, celebrating innovation and eco-friendliness, with the grand prize being 2,500 €.
GreenHack 2023 also underscored the dedication of Czech talent to global environmental challenges, receiving support from the Czech Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Capital City of Prague.
